The short answer
Creative Wallpaper Installer hangs, removes and repairs wallcoverings across Boca Raton, roughly six miles north of our Pompano Beach base. We handle residential rooms, condo units and commercial spaces in every Boca ZIP code, with wall prep planned around South Florida humidity.
Boca Raton sits about six miles north of our Pompano Beach shop, just over the line in Palm Beach County, so a trip up for a site visit is a short one. Homeowners here call us for very different jobs: a single grasscloth wall behind a sofa, a full strip-and-rehang in a dated guest suite, a ceiling papered in a dining room, or a lobby corridor in a small office building. We cover ZIP codes 33431, 33432, 33486, 33487 and 33496, and the same crew regularly works in Highland Beach, Deerfield Beach, Lighthouse Point, Hillsboro Beach and Coconut Creek.
How a Boca Raton project moves from first message to final seam
Most jobs start with photos. You send pictures of the walls, a rough size of the room and the paper you have in mind, or a link to it if you have not ordered yet. From that we can usually tell whether the surface needs skim coating, whether old paper has to come off first, and roughly how many rolls the pattern repeat will demand.
Next comes a visit. Because the drive from Pompano Beach is quick, we can usually see the room in person before anything is ordered. We check the walls with a light held flat against them, look for soft drywall near windows and AC returns, and measure every elevation so the roll count is based on the actual room rather than a guess.
On install day the room is cleared, floors are covered, outlets and switch plates come off, and the walls get primer suited to the paper. Hanging is the last step, not the first, and the final hour goes to trimming, wiping paste from the face and putting the room back.
Coastal condos and inland homes need different prep
Units in the 33432 area near the water deal with salt air on balconies and sliding doors, and the walls closest to those doors often show it first: chalky paint, faint rust spotting from metal frames, or caulk lines that have separated. Those spots get sealed before any wallcovering goes up, because paste will not hold well over a dusty or contaminated surface.
Further west, in the western neighborhoods around 33496, many single-family homes have high ceilings, long hallways and builder-grade orange peel texture. Texture shows through thin papers, so we often recommend skimming the wall smooth or choosing a heavier, more forgiving material.
Condo work also comes with building rules. Many associations set work hours, require elevator padding, or ask for contractor paperwork in advance. Tell us early and we will plan the schedule around those requirements.
Services Boca Raton homeowners ask for most
Every service below is available in Boca Raton and the surrounding towns we listed above. If your project mixes several of them, such as removal followed by repair and then a mural, it is handled as one job with one schedule.
- Grasscloth wallpaper installation, hung with careful color matching between panels since natural fibers vary from roll to roll
- Wallpaper removal, including older vinyl layers glued straight onto unprimed drywall
- Accent wall installation for bedrooms, entryways and dining nooks
- Mural installation where panels must line up across the full width of a wall
- Ceiling wallpaper installation for dining rooms, powder rooms and tray ceilings
- Peel and stick wallpaper installation for renters and quick refreshes
- Vinyl wallcovering installation in kitchens, laundry rooms and baths
- Commercial wallcovering installation for offices, clinics and retail suites
Humidity, air conditioning and the timing of your install
From May through October the air outside is heavy and wet, and afternoon storms roll through most days. Inside, the AC runs almost nonstop. That swing matters: paper hung in a room that was closed up and warm will shrink as the house cools, which can open seams. We ask that the air conditioning be running normally for a day or two before we arrive so the walls and the paper settle at the conditions they will live in.
The drier stretch from November into April is a comfortable time for big projects, but it is not required. Summer installs go well when the house is kept cool and the paper acclimates in the room overnight. Hurricane season runs from June 1 to November 30; if a storm is forecast, we simply move the date.
Planning your Boca Raton wallpaper job
Order a little more paper than the bare square footage suggests. Large pattern repeats, tall walls and lots of door and window openings all add waste, and a second order from the same manufacturer may come from a different print run with a slight color shift. We will give you a roll count after measuring so you can order once.
If you have not chosen a material yet, we can talk through how each one behaves in a humid house, which surfaces it suits, and what kind of upkeep it needs. Picking the material first and the pattern second often saves a return.
